Group Communication:

How does the group communication information?

We use several methods of communication.

the majority of communication is set by email.

where a message needs to be sent quickly, i.e. the late cancellation of an event, a text message will be sent.

where a form needs to be signed, we sent it by post.  Generic copies of forms can also be found in the documents page.

Short messages and updates are tweeted.  Follow us on twitter @7braidscout.  Tweets are also displayed on the news page and home page of the group website.  Contains News (twitter feed), Calendar, Documents, Photos (flickr feed) a Contact Form plus a wider range of information on the Group and The scout Association.

Calendar: Contained in the website.  Updated regularly with meetings, events and other programme items.  Parents can sync the group calendar with calendars on ical, Microsoft Outlook, etc.  Please ask if this is of interest to you.

One to one conversations.

Most messages are broadcast using several media formats (i.e. a text message will also be emailed and tweeted).

Photographs of the Cubs on activities are viewable on flickr at .  Most of the recent pictures are marked as Friends and Family.  If you want access to view these, sign up to flickr (it’s free) and request to be added as a contact to the Group’s pages.  A selection of public pictures are feed into the Group Website.
